Uniting Generations and Multicultural Ministry of the Uniting Church WA are holding a joint event designed to nurture young people in their spirituality.
Young people aged between 15 and 35 are invited to attend Going Deeper, a one-day retreat. The retreat will bring together young Uniting Church WA members from different cultural backgrounds to explore their faith and encourage each other on the journey.
The Uniting Church WA has a number of congregations and faith communities that worship in a language other than English, or in a culturally different way, such as Tongan, Samoan, Korean, Indonesian and Afrikaans. There are also a number of multicultural or intercultural congregations and faith communities in WA who have a relationship with the Uniting Church WA in various ways, such as use of buildings or resources.
With many vibrant communities, and young adult leaders and members across the church, Going Deeper will be an opportunity for networking and spiritual refreshment.
Speakers include Rev Dr Emanuel Audisho, Multicultural Ministry Co-ordinator, and Janine McDonald, Uniting Generations Coordinator, both from the Uniting Church WA.
It will be held on Saturday 16 February, 10.00am to 4.00pm, at Manning Park, Spearwood. Cost is $7, bring a Bible and water.
To register, contact Emanuel on 0459 145 977 or email emanuel.audisho@wa.uca.org.au.
