Last week, Susy Thomas, Moderator of the Uniting Church WA, and Rev David De Kock, General Secretary of the Uniting Church WA, visited 98five Sonshine FM to view their newly upgraded video studio, for which the Uniting Church WA provided financial assistance.
The new video studio will allow 98five to livestream their podcasts and some radio shows in both audio and visual format. Video livestreaming will also allow 98five guests to interact with a live digital audience while the radio show is on an ad break.
This upgrade is the first step in a long-term plan to transition from purely radio to producing various forms of media, eventually becoming Sonshine Media.
The Uniting Church WA assisted with the purchase of three digital streaming cameras, front and rear lights, a basic lighting desk and black wool curtain.
